Request an Absence

There are a number of places where you can request an absence in Cezanne:

  • Absences Screen
  • My Absences Summary Widget
  • Annual Overview
  • Mobile App


  1. Click the Add Absence button (from any of the above).
  1. Select the relevant Absence Plan and click OK:
  1. Select the Start and End Dates
  2. Choose when the Absence Commences and Finishes
  3. (Optional) Select an Absence Reason and enter any relevant Notes.
  4. (Optional) Click Save before submitting to review the Total Time Taken for the absence.
  5. Select Submit Request to send to your Approving Manager.


  • Depending on how your system is configured:
    • you may only need to enter the Start and End Dates.
    • you may also be required to enter the Total Time Taken.
    • you may not be able to book an absence on the same day as a mandatory Company or Team event.


  • Depending on how your system is configured, you may receive an .ics file which you can add to an external calendar (e.g. Google, Outlook).
