Authenticator Verification Codes aren't working (Two-step Verification)

If you are using the Authenticator option and the one-time verification codes are not working, this might be because either:

The time on your Google Authenticator app is not synced correctly

To ensure that you have the correct time synced:

  1. Open Google Authenticator
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Time correction for codes
  4. Select Sync Now

Note:

  • The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app, and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.
Your Authenticator account is set to 'Counter-based' rather than 'Time-based'

To ensure your account is set to 'Time-based'

  1. Open Google Authenticator
  2. Delete your Cezanne authenticator account
  3. Set up new account ensuring that 'Time-based' is selected.

Note:

  • If you scan the barcode to set up an account, 'Time-based' will be automatically selected.
